We've been busy putting the final touches to our wedding exhibition stand today,

designing new wedding stationery collections, which we will be 

unveiling tomorrow at the Diamonds & Daisies Show.

Summer Wedding Exhibition

We've been very busy getting ready for our first wedding fayre in two weeks time!

Diamonds&Daisies have organised the Summer Wedding Exhibition

on Sunday 26th June 2011, from 1pm - 4pm, 

at Anders House, Milton Road, Waterlooville, PO7 6AW (next to Jubilee Park)

We're quite excited, and been making lots of samples of wedding invites and co-ordinating stationery, as well as our usual greetings cards. If you'd like to pop along and see us

we'd love to see you there! Spread the word to any local Brides-To-Be you may know

- there will be lots of different wedding suppliers there to help you organise your special day.

Finally Made It - Again!

Wow, we are honoured to have been chosen to feature in the blog of Great Green Dreams - Uniquely Yours again! Yesterday she showcased lots of lovely purple items she'd found over on Folksy and featured them in her daily blog post. The card chosen from our collection was

It was created using the lovely 'Grape & Grey' papers we bought before Christmas.

Uniquely Yours - Finally Made It!

Blog Feature - "Finally Made It!" by Uniquely Yours

Well we've been busy setting up our new online shop on Folksy the last couple of weeks, so been busy making lots of Christmas cards ready to list up for sale, making sure we've got good pictures of them all and all neatly wrapped in cello-bags to post. We'd only been on Folksy a couple of days, and been looking through the Forums to try and get involved, when we got a message from fellow Folksy user Uniquely Yours saying she'd picked our present card to be featured in her blog on 29th November. What an honour! Really chuffed to know that she thought our card was that nice that she'd feautre it in her blog post about handmade Christmas Cards she's seen on Folksy.  You can read her blog post here:

The card she chose to feature was our Present Card - where embossed card strips were layered up to make it look like the card was wrapped in ribbon like a present.

Christmas is coming...

So it's been a while since the last blog post. I've been busy starting on my Christmas cards for this year. I'll post up some pictures over the weekend of the first batch. Started back in September, and although to me that seems way too early to be thinking about Christmas, if I don't start now then it'll creep up behind me and before I know it, the last post will be just around the corner and I'll have a mountain of cards to make and send to family and friends! 

I've been on the look out for some nice new festive papers. I've got lots left over from last year but I always like to start a fresh each year with a new range. There's nothing better to get you in the Christmas spirit than experimenting with glitter and making cards.

Sketch 7 Competition - Winner!

Well, this is a surprise! As someone who often enters competitions but never, ever wins anything this is a complete turn up for the books! My card entry for the Sketch 7 competition for Craftwork Cards only got picked as their favourite and won! I'm chuffed to bits they liked my card - they said they "liked the striking colour combo between the red and black" in my design. My prize... a goody bag of their Anglomania paper and card kit, which will be great for making men's cards. Hannah bought the goody bag a couple of weeks ago and has made some lovely cards with it, can't wait to get stuck in!

Craftworks Card Competition - Sketch 7

I've been using Craftwork Cards papers and goody bags to make my some of my cards for a couple of years now. I first saw them on a stand at the Stitch & Creative Crafts Show in Esher. I love the goody bags as you get so much for your money, all for just a tenner each. I was looking at their blog the other day and see they've been running template competitions - follow their basic template and send in a picture of your card to win some goodies from them. Now, I've never entered competitions like this, as I usually don't see any chance of winning, but I've been making cards for a quite a while now and felt confident enough to have a go myself.


Here's my entry:

Other than following the template, the only stipulation is that you use their products to make the card. I used their monochrome goody bag papers and card that I picked up at a craft fair a year ago.

Wish Upon A Card

Butterfly Birthdays

Here is the first of many cards that I have made. I love being able to get stuck
in and create designs with a personal touch to them for friends and family.

This card was made for fellow Wish Upon A Card designer, Hannah.

The embellishments are from Craftwork Cards - I love their designs and the

card candy is great for jazzing up a design in the simplest of ways. Quite a few
of my recent designs have been made using their papers and card candy
and I'll be posting up more for you to see in the coming weeks.

The edges to the card and the butterflies have been coloured with a pale pink ink pad. I love this subtle touch as it really helps to lift the shapes off the background paper.
